To use Microsoft Excel 2028, please enter your login information and submit to a routine penis inspection.

2FA is really getting out of hand huh

[–] ikilledtheradiostar@hexbear.net 3 points 7 hours ago

What do you mean I need two falluses to authenticate?

[–] Neverclear@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 7 hours ago

I disagree; my penis is firmly in hand.

[–] lemmygarden@lemmy.today 13 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

The penis is actually more unique than the face

[–] hitmyspot@aussie.zone 1 points 5 hours ago

Yet not uniform in its appearance, nor present for 50%.

Aw man I just had to do penis inspection for slack

[–] Marty_TF@lemmy.zip 6 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

aks them to share the data with microslop, so you don't have to do it again.

[–] spizzat2@lemmy.zip 11 points 11 hours ago

Tell them they can find it in the latest Discord data breach.

[–] No1@aussie.zone 0 points 7 hours ago

I never considered buying a dildo until now....

Sadly if you want to travel these days face scans are unavoidable. I still avoid them for commercial services, but yeah. Fly to europe or any major US city and you are going to be made to submit to a face scan to get through security.

Yes, but at the very LEAST, it's being done by a government controlled entity that's subject to data security auditing and some sort of regulated process for handling that data.

These social media services are going to hold on to those scans, sell them for advertising data, and store them on dubiously secured servers.

[–] traxex@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I would posit that the government is even worse for handling this data. See recent FBI hack and not as recent OPM hack.

For all its problems, a democratically elected government will always be better than some rich guy who wants to rip you off and make as much money as possible.

I hate to say this but I am an Instagram user. They asked me to scan my face to "check if I'm a bot", and they banned me even after I scanned my face. And no, I didn't post my dick to a reel. This is bullshit.

[–] raspberriesareyummy@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Why would you be so stupid to scan your face?

[–] nil@piefed.ca 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I am locked out of the interface otherwise. I know it's a stupid thing to use Instagram in the first place

I had to scan my face a hundred times already for a hundred different places...

Hell, I live in a closed colony and the only way in is with a face scan. My biometric data is surely for sale in a hundred different places by now, so I guess I don't really care anymore

Its not like I have an option if I still want to get home

DON'T support fascist politicians if you actually value the privacy of yourself and others.

Oh wait, that was them.

[–] Telodzrum@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago

They didn’t though . . .

Proton is garbage that accepts blacklists at face value, despite Israel.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca -5 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

So what you're saying is that literally every provider is garbage.

If proton can't make the cut, nobody can

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca -1 points 7 hours ago

Proton is not the only game in town. Proton is ziocuck garbage. There are others.

My face gets scanned by city run cameras everytime i go to the super market, and then the supermarket scans my face as well, not to mention smart passports with face scanning or whatever were introduced pre 2010. It's too late
