so basically JohnBrown317 posted a bit about the admins banning someone for being italian, but that caused a struggle session over actual anti-italian sentiments on the site, which caused a bunch of libs coming in from other fediverse sites to start waxing poetic about columbus, which ended up in another ban wave it was wild. unfortunately poop_pheasant caught a stray ban during this for flying too close to the bit sun
