He's very shy but been making progress. been leaving food out twice a day for him and a few others. he used to run on sight, but with a lot of treats I finally got to pet him yesterday. I'm hoping to get him into the house before the snow hits us.

I just got back in from outside. He showed up early today (I usually put food out at 6am and 6 pm) so he got first dibs on the food, and was all in for some scritches before he sat down with a full belly here to chill with me for a bit.

Strays are a bit of an issue around here. In the last 7 or so years I've gotten over a dozen fixed but a few more show up every year, so I do what I can for them with the little I have. I already have one of his brothers and his sister in the house. He has one more brother outside that is a total lush for attention and runs to me when he sees me, but he doesn't want to come into the house because his sister is a bit of a bully.

His family was born under a neighbor's old Ford truck and he's living under a different neighbor's shed right now. I already have his sister and brother in the house, but he's a little less trusting than they were.

May not be, but behavior will give away a stray/feral. A cat who has been in a house or had someone caring for them acts a lot different to humans.
