badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

Like do you think the net guys were doing the roman equivalent of shit talking the guy who was named after a fish? Do you think the gladiators who fought in "Gaulish" or "Thracian" style had Iron Sheikh like personas?

Don't let this post distract you from the fact that in LXIX BCE, Ille Vespillonis threw Genus Humanum off Infernum In Celulum, and plummeted 16 pes through an announcer's table.

Probably yeah, but I always think about the thing Patrick Wyman says, that we always think of gladiators as a contest between sporting equals, even when we learn that a bunch of it was more like professional wrestling than actual combat, but at the end of the day a lot of gladiatorial stuff was watching like 5 professional guys with weapons murder 25 prisoners without them, or torment and then kill a bunch of exotic animals, it was way more depressing and fucked up.

IIRC some conquered populations initially revolted upon seeing roman gladiatorial games, and needed extensive romanization before they began enjoying them

Maximus Decimus Meridius showed that if you are good enough, you can change from a heel to a face.

MFW I got a XXXIII and I/III chance after they throw Kurt Angle, the Greek trigonometry gladiator, into the mix.

100%

They were entertainers and athletes, you just know they’d use current events or sentiments in their shows.

Beanis style gladiators that liked love and peace were banned which lead to the fall of Rome. They wanted to keep it all for themselves and they rejected the teachings of beanio of lovingus.
