I don’t get the US position towards Ukraine.

It feels like: donald got his "win" (some sort of minerals deal) and now things can get back from trying to force Ukraine to accept the deal to a more normal way of doing things. Not like before because Ukraine has to pay for stuff, but at least they are allowed to defend themselves now by buying things.

All in all a step forward.

Or so I feel.

No one in America does either

US policy in general appears to revolve around a geriatric with acute narcissistic personality disorder and a mood disorder

It just depends on which direction the wind is blowing that day

I don't think there is any logic to it beyond who sucked trumps dick most recently. Since that is Ukraine, giving him his mineral ~~ransom~~ deal, they get some borrowed time now.

Ugh, they actually took the deal? I hope that when the Cheeto reign comes to an end, a future leader will annul it

History suggests that's unlikely

They US position towards Ukraine it to keep the conflict going as long as possible in a sustainably profitable way for the military industrial complex. This is what they mean when they talk about “sustainability.” They’re talking about profits.
