This is turning into an Animaniacs song.

[–] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

When the animaniacs are more sany than the US government...

[–] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

🎵

When most psych ward residents

More than the president

Seem to be the ones sane

Or when libertarians

And other vulgarians

all have much more a brain...

Kudos, that's not an easy template to make lyrics for

Thank you. I think that's why I could only get a few lines

That's how Americans learn geography!

[–] Dagnet@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

And Brazil. He used tariffs to try to influence Bolsonaro's trial

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah worked out great for Orban! If you are Hungarian congratulations for you guys! Sincerely!

[–] Steve@startrek.website 7 points 1 week ago

The hypocrisy is intentional.

[–] hombre_fundido@lemmy.world 69 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The pope could do something absolutely hilarious and excommunicate Vance.

[–] ramble81@lemmy.zip 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

JD will start his own religion…. With blackjack, and couches.

[–] scutiger@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

In fact, forget the religion and the blackjack.

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

I'm actually surprised he converted to Catholicism in the first place. He's nothing but a immortal opportunist. And it would have made more sense for him to join one of the firebrand evangelical protestant sects. Better voter appeal for his target voter base.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 46 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And why would a US citizen do that?

Obligatory, "JD Vance should stay out of Hungary's affairs."

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 7 points 1 week ago

No, that went perfectly well. Lol

[–] Hylactor@sopuli.xyz 40 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He...was born in Chicago? Why shouldn't he get a say?

[–] GalacticSushi@piefed.blahaj.zone 28 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

He's also not even talking about US affairs. He's a head of state talking about international geopolitical situations that happen to involve the United States.

[–] lyralycan@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 week ago

So the US is acting like a leatherjacket beating on Iran, of the school's punching bag family 'Middle East', telling an intervening Samaritan Pope to "stay out of it"

[–] setsubyou@lemmy.world 33 points 1 week ago (2 children)

US citizens who were also born in the US and vote in US elections should stay out of US politics?

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Not to mention that trying to silence political critics just makes you look weak and like you know you're wrong. It's middle school bully behavior.

[–] pivot_root@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

He's part of the "you will never need to vote again" admin, so... yes?

[–] Murse@slrpnk.net 30 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think JD Vance should stay out of US affairs.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Are we moral grandstanding? I think JD Vance should stay out of couches

[–] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 29 points 1 week ago (1 children)

A so called "catholic" that he is should not say that. The pope is litterly in your eyes representitive of god on earth, couch fucker!

And how about the USA stays out of other countries affairs, and doesnt fund nazi groups or invades every neighboring nation?!

Btw anyone got an update on what has been happening to venezuela since that was thing?

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

Venezuela poling was trending down so we had to change countries. Cuba on deck!

[–] Fandangalo@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Yeah, I don’t get how JD internalizes the Pope. For a Catholic, the Pope is supposed to be a/The voice of God. Looks like JD got no reverence for what God is trying to communicate.

Really funny to see a man dedicate his life to these values just to see him say, “God, can you not give me guidance right now? I’m doing war stuff.”

John 13:34, homie. Sorry Jan—your homeboy said it, not me.

[–] OhNoMoreLemmy@lemmy.ml 22 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think the big mistake is in thinking JD believes anything.

He opposed Trump to get his name out there, and then supported him to become VP. Everything he does and says is just to appease people more important than him.

He's Catholic while opposing the Pope because that's what Peter Theil (his major sponsor) does.

[–] pivot_root@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

But have you considered that Peter Theil knows the antichrist?

[–] OhNoMoreLemmy@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 week ago

Did he look in a mirror?

[–] protist@retrofed.com 18 points 1 week ago

Trump's attacks on the Pope plus that picture of him as Jesus really seemed to touch a nerve among some of their die-hard supporters in a way we don't typically see. They're really going to keep going after the Pope?

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago

Good start Vance, now do all religions.

Like idk, your crazy fucking Armageddon obsessed Christian fascists? Maybe they should also stay out of US affairs... Consistency is too much to ask of them though. They live and breathe hypocrisy

[–] xSikes@feddit.online 15 points 1 week ago

JD Vance should stay out of US affairs and affairs

[–] notsosure@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 week ago

Stay out of European politics than too, numbskull. And out of Europe for that matter.

[–] OrteilGenou@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

He's already offed one pontiff, be careful Leo!!!

[–] black_flag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The Catholic Church should stay out of US affairs (I say for a very different reason to Vance)

^Catholic ^medical ^providers ^are ^banned ^from ^providing ^trans ^health ^care ^as ^of ^last ^November.

[–] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

And don't/won't provide the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare options to folks with ovaries.

A reminder to move medical systems if you have access to an alternative to Catholic systems. Doesn't matter how good you think your primary care provider is, they are complicit!
