I'd probably not even notice. But I live in Italy and I've seen some shit.

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago

I hope it is just a delivery guy who thinks "This'll take a sec."

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

I think that person is an asshole for stopping on the crosswalk, but I have no authority to do anything about it and move on.

[–] wowwoweowza@lemmy.world 5 points 6 hours ago

It’s PARKED. Not stopped. Don’t be a simp.

[–] insomniac199@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

I don't like your honesty

[–] Tattorack@lemmy.world 9 points 8 hours ago

I will think to myself "fucking swastikar" and move on.

I got similar situation in a cul-de-sac around my area. There is a sidewalk going through and people like to park their car right in the middle of it.

I just do small stuff like bending out rear wiper or bending front passenger's external mirror. People do be getting the memo.

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 7 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

One thing that has always sent me into an absolute rational rage is cunts in cars blocking sidewalks and pedestrian passageways.

and now that I have family in wheelchairs and on walkers, that rational rage has become about 30x more intense, to the point that I have to physically stop myself from bricking their windshields.

Ceramic spark plug pieces work very well at shattering tempered glass and are a lot more mobile and concealable than bricks.

[–] dawcas@scribe.disroot.org 5 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

I sometimes get touchy touchy with the mirrors so they have to lose time readjusting them.

[–] wowwoweowza@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

You mean replacing them, right?

Right? [Amigdala with supercharged chas]

Wait is this Portugal? If I was walking the zebra crossing I would have just walked over the car. Also if you call the police they will tow the car, fine the owner, and even if they come to move it before the tow truck arrives, they still have pay for it in addition

[–] chris@l.roofo.cc 6 points 9 hours ago

Take a photo, send it to the police.

Mix glitter and superglue in a water balloon

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (1 children)

Or put bleach in a water balloon. Will fuck the paint up if they don't remove it quickly and they might not notice their car got bleached bombed until it's too late.

[–] 100_kg_90_de_belin@feddit.it 2 points 7 hours ago

I like the way you think

[–] lengau@midwest.social 13 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

Call the cops and wait there to watch it get towed.

[–] MintyFresh@lemmy.world 11 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I don't think I've ever seen a cop do anything that could be called useful. I mean I'm sure they must occasionally, but I cannot attest to it.

[–] Honytawk@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Move to a civilized country then.

[–] MintyFresh@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Go back to my home and start a government petition to legalise pedestrians carrying rocket-propelled grenade launchers to better handle situations like this

[–] macke49@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Remove the valve stem cores, reinstall valve caps. Have fun with ur random flats for the next week.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

The problem with that is that the first tire tech who responds to the flats, will spot the missing valve stems, and replace rhem. It also takes a lot of time to do it.

The better move is to just unscrew the caps, and drop a BB in the cap and screw it back on. The BB will press slightly on the valve stem, and cause a slow leak. The tire tech will search and search for the source, but he's unlikely to look in the cap, and he probably won't notice the BB in the cap anyway, so it will become an ongoing problem.

Lol I work in a shop, and while I'm not saying your wrong I would like to share a story. Had a customer get towed in, they were driving and got a flat. AAA came and swapped their spare on for them, shortly after they got another flat. Being out of spares they had it towed to the shop. 2 flats in one day same corner 2x in a row u got any guesses? Well when I get to it I notice the spare has a chunk knocked out of the inside of the wheel. I go to take the flat off and surprise! Fucking chunk out of the other wheel. 2 wheels with holes right through them! Caliper lost the lower bolt, so under braking it would pivot up on the upper bolt and wedge into the aluminum wheel so hard it blew a hole in it and locked up that corner. AAA came and swapped that wheel without going "hey ur fucking brakes are falling off" so I sort of doubt they will notice a missing valve stem lol. AAA also totaled my Audi last time they towed it with a single wheel strap and it let loose on the roll back, so I have VERY little faith in the roadside guys seeing anything lol.

The subcontractors of their network are hit or miss, here in Miami there are always stories about them asking for tips and such after completing jobs.

[–] innermachine@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Yea honestly I don't blame them, their not paid to give a fuck. AAA responders get something ridiculous like 50 bucks a call, half the time their practically losing money to respond. plus every time I have used them it has been multiple hours wait. I cancelled AAA after the "mediator" tried to tell me to eat it when their operator totaled my car, to which I had to get the DOT numbers off the flatbed and chase their insurance my damn self. Id rather properly pay an honest tow company that actually cares lol. That experience left a REAL sour taste in my mouth.

[–] wowwoweowza@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Decades long membership. Zero trouble. Many saves. Worth it.

[–] innermachine@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

Better hope u don't have any troubles because the mediators will do everything they can to leave you holding the bag. He and the tow company owner both told me I cannot force them to go through insurance. To their dismay I fucking did! Car totaled out and got my 8 grand back, tow company only offered me 2500 which doesn't even cover the reiger body kit it had on, nevermind the ac condenser it burst releasing freon into the atmosphere, the radiator it knocked the bottom out of or the oil coolers it wrecked that dumped all manner of fluids all over the place. I had a rotten experience and I recognize that's not the norm, but how the company handled it told me all I needed to know!

[–] wowwoweowza@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

Two days ago, our favorite plummers sent a dude who botched the job so badly. I smiled and paid the $4hundred plus bill. 8 am next morning I called the office and explained the job was botched. They sent out an experienced plumber who rolled his eyes and apologized immediately. He said he would redo all the work and hire an electrician to handle that part of their disaster and all would be paid by them.

Next day all was made right.

Guess I share that by way of saying, if I had cut them off then and there… I wouldn’t have gotten to see them make right…

And… thumbing that out… I have made your point: you gave AAA every opportunity to make right and they didn’t.

BOO on them.

It's a rich wanker as always. I live in a pretty affluent area and the wealthy think they can break the traffic laws all the time.
