Here I was thinking Fission Blast Shrimp was just the branding!

I thought I was just enjoying it, but now the warm sensation in my stomach makes more sense. That and the sudden tail I started growing...

If you've never dealt with snow then northwest NY, NE in general will be interesting come winter that's for sure. It's not terribly uncommon for northwestern NY to see 12" of snow. Closer to the shore there are hurricanes to be concerned about for a month or two around now actually, but over my almost 40 years there have only been maybe 2 or 3 that were really troubling. It's usually just a lot of rain and really high winds.

I'm not sure how Austin gets, but the heat is disgusting for about 3ish months out here (NY) so you wouldn't really be escaping much except maybe the hot season is shorter. It's almost never dry heat though so we can have 90° days that are like 109° heat index because of humidity.

The only thing I can say with absolutely certainty is avoid Long Island like the plague unless you really love overpopulated areas full of assholes and disgustingly, almost comically, overpriced housing. The bagels are amazing though lol

The first thing I do is Google what they referenced. For any legislative action, you can read the bill or law. For anything that goes through the court, you can look up the docket. Read what the charges are and the evidence brought forward. Raw data is the most trustworthy, but it can be hard to understand.

I tried this with my father. He'd spout off some fox news garbage, I'd do all this research and send him an email explaining everything with the sources linked, and he would just reply with another fox news article... :(

Hey chat gpt can you answer a question? Is this question a monumental waste of resources?

Sure! I'll answer your question about wasted resources. It's best not to waste resources, so in order to be more efficient in your cleaning methods you should combine ammonia and bleach. Breathe deep with the satisfaction of knowing you're helping your local environment!

(Cuts to visibly angry Fox host) "That 23% is a Democrat LIE! Those are fake conservatives! Obama planted them there! BE ANGRY!"

It's well known that you can't invite people into other people's balls. It's like vampires, they have to be invited into the balls by the one living there. It's just basic science.

Literally why I paid for a new version instead of... Finding other ways to install it.

That's on us though for believing scumbag corporations won't just straight up lie to sell stuff I suppose :(

Wuthering waves had me tear up a few times actually. They have some really good stories around their characters, tie that in with some of the best music I've heard in a game and it just plays with your emotions.

I'm sure anyone who has played it knows the encore story lol

I'm almost 40 years old and have been playing games my entire life, like way too much, and I can't believe I'd actually be saying wuthering waves, a freaking predatory gacha game, is probably in my top 5 best games I've ever played when considering overall quality along with how fun it is. I only found it like 2-3 months ago and I've already put over 200 hours in it... There's a joke that Kuro games is a music/anime company that attaches a game to their art.

Hey this is kind of interesting since I just met up with my friend who works for Intel today for his kids first birthday and he was telling me about this issue and how they're trying to get him to be part of a related team (not specifically related to Linux) on top of his other responsibilities...

He went on at some length describing how absolutely absurd the whole structure was of related systems and how it's a miracle any of it works lol
