I've checked out this platform and I got to say I don't get streaming at all. It's just sooooooo boring. Who's watching this? What do people get out of it?

When I lived in Poland all my presidents were an embarrassment. Extremely partisan, didn't know protocol, didn't speak any foreign languages. One scandal after another. The latest one is a ex football hooligan, cheater and simpleton.

When I got to Spain the king was most capable of meeting foreign leaders, very professional, speaks perfect English and French (and supposedly Greek, German, Portuguese, and Catalan), knows protocol and doesn't get involved in politics. The next in line is preparing her whole life to do the same.

Polish president and Spanish king server pretty much the same function in the government. The office of Polish president costs taxpayers about 10x more money than Spanish Royal family.

So yes, having royals in 2025 is sounds idiotic but it's actually quite practical.

He's saying the launch was done badly because some users are in love with GPT-4 and it should not be removed. From a point of view of a investor having people addicted to your product is a good thing.

I have to say, I don't think this has ever happened to me. I don't buy smart devices, I use few commercial apps. Forced updates are not that common in open source world. Just look for products made by people with passion. Those might be a bit more expensive but you will see it's worth it in the long run.

Yes but it will backfire next year. This year bonuses will be sweet though.

Have you tried putting your cat on the keyboard again?

I think AI in you IDE is meant to help you with small things while AI agents are supposed to do development for you. If people will start using AI agents they won't need IDEs so this take is consistent with their business model.

Everyone everywhere is worried now. I really hope EU as a whole will survive and guard basic human rights (at least internally) but who knows?

It kind of always circled back so they left after couple of times. But I'm sure it depends on the group. If the group serves some purpose (like organizing some meetups) people definitely stay for longer. If it's for talking shit I don't think it works well. Same like social media.
