If it's stupid and it works, then it's an OSHA violation.

Garuda is like if someone decided to tick every box they possibly could. I'm not saying they're good or bad, it's just, I believe in chaos theory to a degree. Something's gonna break. It's a bit much. I'm fine with slapping plasma on Arch and calling it a day.

They take marketing bait way too easily.

1000% more efficient, you say? You'll train, you say? Out with that old shit we were using!

Send the humans to war against other humans at a critical trade port!

Defund the CDC and forein aid so diseases and parasites infect the humans' food!

Defund and remove critical healthcare coverage for humans with combat experience!

two weeks goes by and it breaks

Not worth the effort. Been down that road. Redlib fixes, Reddit breaks again, over and over and over.

Empires rise, empires fall. You won't have to worry about Lemmy getting huge, though. Companies don't see any method of controlling us with propaganda here, or Mastodon so there's little incentive to even try, and most people have shown that they have little care for their own privacy, security or identity.

That isn't the part that should scare you, it's not that "They don't talk about those people.", It's that "those people" never talk themselves... because if they aren't making socks in a sweatshop somewhere under a slum in South Africa, they're probably dead.
