4 has been breached. Update your browsers! We are using 5 now :)

Maybe you can search for some emails where he does indeed argue in defense of pedophilia... Draw your own conclusions. It's not new btw. We don't talk as much about it because we separate "art from the artist" or whatever.

Ooh, sweet! My heart has a soft spot for sparky linux. This project reminds me of that slackware usb distro... What was it called? That had all sorts of modules to pick and then you downloaded your iso...

+1 for bazzite because of their inmutable root partition. This should be the way for both beginners and professionals (e.g. adding rootless quadlet for local searxng)

Did you mean qwen 3.8 max? Or qwen 3 coder next? They are very different.

And there's even a very bad marketing department at Mistral (french company, only frontier lab at Europe) because they call "vibe" their coding harness. They don't even value their products, which is fine (they suck)

What's wrong with the built in setting?

I see a lot of reinventions of the wheel using AI..

Username and new account gives a lot of legitimacy. This looks promising! /s

Don't worry about vpn failures. I have used headscale for a long uninterrupted time. Yes, eventually you may need physical access. That event is as frequent as having a broken boot partition :p be careful to read changelogs when applying updates or have some other means to access of you will... Just saying that for me it has worked perfectly fine.

It may or may not be merged. Nonetheless it's certainly a step forward into genAI adoption for our beloved OS.

I would really like to know what's going to happen: better code or just the appearance of it?

These articles feel like scrolling through infographics or watching a mini documentary. I really enjoyed "Urban Africa" but there are many others to go through.. Which one was your favorite and why? drop a comment :)

[...] We should heed the wisdom of the late Carl Sagan that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence: the claims from Coxon and his ilk are the most extraordinary a technologist can make, and we must demand evidence commensurate with the claims. That said, we should not expect the public to understand LLMs, critical infrastructure, bioweapons, extinction biology, etc. — that burden must lie with those making the claim. The lesson that I learned (shamefully) decades ago is that domain experts, by way of their expertise, implicitly hold the public’s trust — and we must not abuse it. It is incumbent upon us to be circumspect in our claims — and maximally so when raising the alarm.

Check what can you use and at what rate of token per seconds would it be... It has examples of many models and quantization levels. Huge resource!

I've just found the project. And it seems very interesting take. I am adding a link to their blog entry discussion on a system to combat LLMs abuse via a web of trust.

From their site:

We envision a place where developers have ownership of their code, communities can freely self-govern and most importantly, coding can be social and fun again.

I just like the ring of these two words. Like civil disobedience against opression... I consider self hosting to be the epitome of these actions, in the context of global corporations "ruining" every "product" (be it: privacy concerns, data brokers, pushing AI into products, etc.) Hence, the concept that arises when these two words come together: Cybernetical Disobedience, is the greatest motivation (imho) to spin up some containers, be it searxng, vaultwarden, syncthing, or arr stack. All comes with some rebellious ideation behind... Do any of you feel like me?
