editing a config file is hardly a "brick wall".

No it's not but it's also not something I'm prepared to put up with. When I turn my computer on it's because I have something I want to do and the thing I want to do with it is not mess with the basic configuration.

why the fuck do you wanna do that? Go back to Windows.

Yeah that is basically my concern. However I figure I can always just buy a Windows licence if it doesn't work out.

I spent a couple of weeks trying to get used to vim and in the end I just figured that whatever performance boost I'm supposed to get by not having a UI, I lose by having to learn vim.

People who use it need to be on some kind of government watch list.

I'm building a new gaming PC and it's going to be a Linux build and if it doesn't work the way you guys keep insisting it will, I swear to God.

My last experience with Linux was with Ubuntu about 10 years ago and I can't say it was a particularly great experience I'm hoping that in the last decade it's improved its user experience.

Nothing wrong with typescript

Oh yeah I'm definitely going to use that. He's a marketing genius.

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 26 points 23 hours ago

Yeah I wonder who could possibly be responsible for that... Tis a mystery

Clearly the solution is to spread more conspiracy theories. People are obviously leaving due to the lack of conspiracy theories.

They famously taught it on Reddit. So it's not surprising that it just comes up with nonsense.

You would have thought that they would use a more stable data set. Although it does mean it's very good at explaining the plots of movies badly.

I'm pretty sure this internet thing is going to turn out to be a fad.

It isn't about who knows who the Elon Musk is it's about who cares who Elon Musk is.

Why should I care who some random CEO is? If you can answer that question you will impress me because CEOs don't have a lot to do with what the company does, they have a lot to do with how the company is perceived. Think about Tesla is that for whatever reason they decided to be a 100% perception company and a 0% results company. Presumably because their results are unimpressive.

Most people don't research the CEO of a car company before buying a car. Who is the CEO of ford no idea he could be a complete lunatic as far as I'm aware, I don't know because his personal attitude isn't relevant to my car buying decisions.

It's ridiculous to expect people to not buy a Tesla simply because it's CEOs in the moron most CEOs are. It's practically part of the job description.
