I think the problem was they probably trained the AI on Americans driving normally i.e badly, Americans have zero lane discipline, every video I've ever seen of Americans driving is like an instructional video on how not to do it.

I have absolutely no problem with self-driving vehicles and I'm fully prepared to accept that it is a possibility in the near future. However I am also utterly confident that it won't be Tesla that finally cracks it, and I am sure that they will still call it "full self driving" even in a future where we have actual full self driving.

The law really needs to be laid down on this stuff, unless it can actually drive itself without a human even in the vehicle, and do so reliably, then they're not allowed to call it anything that implies that capability.

It sounds like the version they were using didn't have the right drivers in the build. Seems a lot of work to go to just to get new drivers.

No it's not but it's also not something I'm prepared to put up with. When I turn my computer on it's because I have something I want to do and the thing I want to do with it is not mess with the basic configuration.

Yeah that is basically my concern. However I figure I can always just buy a Windows licence if it doesn't work out.

I spent a couple of weeks trying to get used to vim and in the end I just figured that whatever performance boost I'm supposed to get by not having a UI, I lose by having to learn vim.

I'm building a new gaming PC and it's going to be a Linux build and if it doesn't work the way you guys keep insisting it will, I swear to God.

My last experience with Linux was with Ubuntu about 10 years ago and I can't say it was a particularly great experience I'm hoping that in the last decade it's improved its user experience.

Clearly the solution is to spread more conspiracy theories. People are obviously leaving due to the lack of conspiracy theories.

You would have thought that they would use a more stable data set. Although it does mean it's very good at explaining the plots of movies badly.
