And why year after year I get tired of holding my nose and voting for weak ass democrats.

Republicans are going to be Republicans no matter the race. These minorities will vote the hard R while running themselves ragged trying to justify it by mumbling "I'm white adjacent enough".

They won't leave, they'll just self-hate more.

Sundar Pichai: "Huh, well I guess we'll just follow Tim Apple's lead and start injecting ads in google maps and anyone who uses google maps API too."

The world is being run by conservatives and fascists.

The world will not change course, humanity is borked.

Still don't care that a billionaire is doing "charitable works". It's wrong that anyone has to depend on the graces of the wealthy to notice a go fund me to afford healthcare.

Just more global backsliding of democracy due to old people being racists.

This poster certainly has the nut part down pat.

I mean honestly that's just stupid AF but at the same time, I don't give a crap because I still refuse to eat there since they're owned by religious assholes that fund child abuse.

Jesus, this is a shit show on my machine.

Apparently watchtower started the update and now I'm stuck on the startup screen with Perform migration 20241112234144_FixMediaStreams2 since just after midnight.

ETA: over 24 hours now and still fucked, probably going to have to blow the entire things away and rebuild, what a horrible release.

Yeah, you'd think that as a fellow hong konger this guy would have been a bit smarter than to vote for a open fascist.

Just a bit to much of thinking he's white adjacent enough I suppose.

They still are but I've learned to love the block list and use it judiciously with people who go beyond good faith arguments of any sort.

The housing bubble encompassed a metric ton of banks and companies that bought and sold shares of subprime mortgages in the billions of dollars and when everyone stopped paying and started defaulting, that caused a entire economic collapse.

Now unless someone can point me to an analysis where we have some tangible proof that banks and tons of companies are invested, not just using, AI, it seems to me the fall out would be limited to tech companies, which yeah would involve some job losses but nothing on the scale of the housing or dotcom bubble.

Now if you're referring to rich jackasses who are all in and banking on AI taking our jerbs? Sure that bubble will hurt them but they're not driving forces in the economy, just politics, which I guess could cause a economic crash if they get your idiot politicians more scared of them than the people with France on their minds.

A bit older but something I didn't see until now showing how US Republicans are just the worst and the dumbestas Canadian tourism is DOA.

So Ohio Trump soy boys are whining that Trump is giving billions to the failing mini-trump Milei after they just took their soy sales to China.

Starbreeze rolled out a new subscription service for Payday 2 DLC yesterday, which struck me as a pretty good deal: $5 per month for every piece of DLC currently available, and you can subscribe and cancel as you see fit. But the launch turned a less-than-flattering spotlight on another recent Payday 2 development: A significant increase in the price of the Infamous Collection, a bundle of all current Payday 2 DLC that players can buy outright.

A few weeks before the launch of the subscription service, the Infamous Collection jumped from $118 to $170, a steep increase that many players assumed was meant to funnel them toward the subscription service. Gustav Nisser, Starbreeze's head of commercial, said there was no connection—that the timing was simply "unfortunate," and the studio had "dropped the ball" on keeping fans in the loop.

Last month, Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced the sale of this state-owned nursing home and the three others to a private company.

And while the company says it has no plans to cut staff, public records show it employs fewer nursing staff on average at its facilities in other states than are employed at the state’s hospitals.
