I wonder if a fediverse version of that would resonate with any of my friends and family. Seems like we are where we started with forums, just strangers respectfully taking about their common interests. Social media is indeed dead.

This guy knows. Of course you can get those another way, but marriage is the no questions asked route for most people.

Why do you think gay marriage is big news? Gays could always find ways around, but that's the point, marriage is easier and you need to jump through hoops to get the same thing, it's discriminatory and makes a difference between normal and not normal or acceptable ways of getting common ass rights and validations, absolutely useful for when you plan to spend more than a couple of years with someone.

Also, I think you confuse marriage with weddings, those are usually the expensive and stupid ones. Ceremonies are not required to be that stupid.

Developed by Xerox and Canon in the mid-1980s, the existence of these tracking codes became public only in 2004.

No fucking way

In 2005, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) sought a decoding method and made available a Python script for analysis.

In 2018, scientists from TU Dresden developed and published a tool to extract and analyze the steganographic codes of a given color printer and subsequently to anonymize prints from that printer.

The scientists made the software available to support whistleblowers in their efforts to publicize grievances.

This article gave me the creeps, is awesome and terrifying

Foundation boards can are susceptible to bribe money in exchange for features or default things. Look at Firefox.

I still say this to cable companies and other tv providers, is awesome and hilarious how they can't continue their phone sale.
