The ATM typically gives $20s, so that's what I usually get.

Cool. I'm so tired of management huffing their own farts about AI.

There are so many better tools for this kind of thing.

Good. Fuck cars. There's plenty of transit options.

If I was a talented writer I would consider a short story about someone getting onto the medical staff just to murder Zuckerberg.

Maybe some sort of rom-com where two people have done so and they suspect each other of being corporate bootlickers, but in the end they fall in love. And murder Zuckerberg.

You could probably make it look like an accident. "I guess the LLM was having trouble reaching my account after I was deleted, so it posted everything to pastebin so I could see it there"

Still risky and a funnier fantasy than good idea.

What I cannot understand is how so many of my fellow Americans actually like it this way.

Racism.

Many Americans would rather die than have black people have nice things. If you build a good bus system, black people will use it. They won't suffer for being "lesser" like they "deserve".

That's it. Conservatism demands out groups to punch down at.

Read more books. Read different kinds of books. Not slop on the Internet.

This prose you've posted feels a bit purple and forced. I personally find all the comma separated clauses excessive, but some styles do that.

Are you still in school? Take creative writing courses. They're fun and you get feedback from peers and the (hopefully) professional teacher.

I work from home. The systemic incompetence of this multinational fortune 500 company means I can do a lot of reading and no one seems to notice.

Of course, management is planning to fire a lot of people, including me, to pivot to AI.

Zitron's point that management are stupid is really important. They don't know what they're talking about. They don't do any work!

You laugh, but this is genuinely how the majority of managers and executives think and act, and now they have a special chatbot that can fart out functional-enough prototypes to convince a Business Idiot they can do anything, because executives and managers do not regularly do much work. As a result, they have little idea what work looks like other than when they look over your shoulder, which is why they wanted you back in the office, and their distance from production is why the same people who were anti-remote work are now aggressively trying to shove AI down your throat.

We are ruled by the worst fucking people.

Feels like most people here will agree with it, but the average person vegging out on instatok is harder to reach.

“They haven’t yet taken that step to say, we’ve been wrong for the last century,” King told me. “Which I think is a critical thing that the cities have to do.”

Key point. This is a problem decades in the making and won't be fixed overnight. The transition will be uncomfortable.

“There’s a lot of people who don’t like to accept the truth when it implicates them in the system,” King told me. “If parking is the problem, then I have to drive less. Maybe I’m the bad guy.”

This pattern affects much of humanity's problems. People don't want to admit they're imperfect. Easier to deny the outside world than feel uncomfortable.
