The way back to affordability is 10-20 years of marginal house price growth, to enable housing to come into line with long term trends. Fluctuations that are radical pose radical problems for politics. So they opt for the sustained. This is what I think Australia's (and others) future housing comes down to the (continued) debasement of currency through broad (stealth) taxation.

Is this what you support or this you're description of current policy?

I suspect voting preferences will swing around the late 30s quite bad :-/

Pardon?

Speaking of unforgiveable, do you know why Labor didn't stand in Prahran earlier this year?

I move a motion to rename Capricorn Coast to Cooker Coast.

I found this recent video by Puck Nielsen pretty enlightening.

Only until they are extinct which shouldn't be too far off now.

This video is by SBS News. I don't know if any video shipped with the track. Didn't look further into it.

From SBS News YouTube channel:

The Liberal Party has released a 'diss track' titled Leaving Labor, urging voters to reject Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the Labor Party in the upcoming federal election.

Set against a heavy beat, an unnamed artist calls out the soaring costs of groceries, rent, and everyday essentials in the minute-long rap song.

Opposition leader Peter Dutton admitted he had not listened to the song before its release.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese responded by saying Labor will not be releasing their own diss track.

Lots of locals who'd fund this.

When you protest against ALP you inform low-information voters (which are the majority, by the way) that both parties are the same as regards climate change.

Can you back up both claims in this statement with any studies, sources etc?

the study design is very dodgy

How so?

Rising Tide campaigners were arrested at Newcastle’s coal port in late 2024 after using kayaks and rafts to protest at facility

I've been busy with work and haven't been following the news. I didn't see mention of this here. I saw it mentioned in Police and synagogue attendees shaken to the core by democracy. There is a follow up piece Officer stripped of security clearance over Israel loyalty still in Australian defence force.

A few Zionist colleagues of mine at the University of Sydney are currently trying to take me and fellow staff member John Keane to the Human Rights Commission for racial vilification, because we have dared to oppose this genocide. It’s classic ‘lawfare’, and it’s based on the baseless and absurd argument that when we say ‘Zionists’, we actually – so they tell us – mean ‘Jews’. We are, they claim, toxic antisemites.

If that’s what they thought, they could have come to my office at the university to talk about it. I would have bought them coffee, and made it clear just how far from the truth this is. Instead, they went direct to the Human Rights Commission, making a complaint that miraculously turned up on the front page of The Australian before it had even been acknowledged by the AHRC itself.
