Hostel just west of Pretoria, victims included a 3 year old. Jesus fucking Christ. What would motivate a team of humans to do that to other humans.

For others wondering, stated reason is “cultural”.

claiming in a lawsuit that withholding the polarizing yeast-based spread breaches his human right to “enjoy his culture as an Australian.”

This is what reading East of Eden has been like so far.

Seconding walking. I had gained 40lbs and eased back into fitness slowly over 2 years. My issue with hiking is the prep time and driving and felt like extra steps. Stepping out the door with a good podcast on was the most accessible for me (recognize that I’m lucky to live in a place with sidewalks and some paths). If the nature part of hiking makes it more interesting to you though and more likely to follow through, go for that!

Sometimes I feel we should be writing these numbers out fully. That’s something worth $4,000,000,000,000 that’s not paying anything substantial to improve your life. If they paid $400M in taxes they’d still be worth about $4T.

I disagree, I think it should be rememember.

And then I wonder how frequently humans misinterpret the mistranslated news.

Famous for making stuff up and going on flights of fancy, Johnson served as prime minister…

Splendidly done.

Losing empathy is not normal and is a symptom of burn out. I hope you find the support it sounds like you might need to heal from whatever you have going on irl.

I’m Canadian. And I’m already sorry for asking an ignorant question.

I know you have to pay for hospital visits in the states. I know lower economic status can come with lower access to birth control and sex education. But then, how do they afford to give birth? Do people ever avoid hospital visits because they don’t feel like they can’t afford it?

Do hospitals put people on a payment plan? Is it possible to give birth and not pay if you don’t have the means? How does it work in the states?

How does it all work?

Again. Canadian. And sorry.

Realized that with my new job I’m at $500/month for gas. Starting to seriously consider a hybrid or electric but damn they expensive. Either way might just need something more reliable than my 320k+ car.

Whatchya driving, do you like it, and why?
