So if that's valid, could some states get bought by other countries? Hell, I bet many residents in some states would pay to have it be part of a different country.

I don't know Australian politics and am a huge fan of proper mental healthcare, but is this just treating a symptom rather than a cause? Cause being things like jobs, housing, education, living wage, etc. I also realize that people who have all these things can still need mental healthcare, so please don't take it that way.

Sample size is too small. The next one might go to 185 if it's fib(n)*20 (add 1*20 add 1*20 next would be add 2*20). It could also be 145 and a handful of bananas in the universe we've entered.

Aligning with Japan, depending upon what that means, doesn't mean much. Japan imports most of its resources and the economy relies largely on vehicle exports. Japan also needs the US or a replacement to keep this going (and that probably wouldn't be China as Chinese have other options and generally don't want to buy a number of Japanese things, especially cars).

I think they're avoiding it because of the exports of wine, champagn, beer, etc. out of the EU more than anything, but that's just a (very slightly) educated guess.

nitpick: not everyone who wanted to vote always can vote (republican-led states tried to greatly reduce polling stations, mail-in voting, etc. ahead of elections), but it probably doesn't move that number by a ton.

... And that has what to do with this? Lock those assholes up and throw away the key, but completely unrelated.

Having met tons of folks off base enjoying nightlife, this isn't true in Japan.

His end goal is to increase his wealth, status, and power as well as punishing those who dare to disagree or make him feel smaller.

Star or similar voting, proportional representation, abolish the Senate, expand the house, abolish the electoral college, etc. are things I'd like personally. Not sure if I'd prefer parliamentary system over the presidential one.

Having known a lot of people working in kitchens here and having seen some kitchens here, I really wish Japan would step up random inspections and enforcement. The owner (at least, maybe others as well) are required to be re-certified yearly with courses (also available online since corona at least), but I've not seen much of anything to enforce the conditions on the ground after the test unless there are customer complaints. Rats and roaches are far from unique to Sukiya, especially in places like Tokyo.

Yeah, USGS pagers are all read and the pictures coming out are not great, sadly
