An investigation by LRT, 15min, Eesti Ekspress, and Nekā personīga found that between June 2024 and March 2025, the bunker tankers Rina and Zircone conducted 286 ship-to-ship operations, refuelling 177 oil and oil product tankers, of which at least 159 had called at Russian ports shortly before or after these transfers.

In April 2024, Fast Bunkering had to deny allegations once again, this time about supplying fuel to the Russian shadow fleet. An investigation by the Swedish broadcaster SVT revealed that ships owned by these Estonian and Latvian companies had, over the course of two months, supplied fuel to more than 50 oil tankers travelling to and from Russian ports across international waters near Gotland.

After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Dubai became a haven for companies seeking to operate in the EU market while remaining difficult to trace. Access to corporate registries in the United Arab Emirates is extremely limited, often making it impossible to identify the ultimate beneficiaries of companies.

Fast Bunkering isn’t the only company providing bunkering services that help transport Russian oil around the world. According to the financial analytics firm S&P Global, over the 12 months before April 2024, at least 3,100 refuelling operations involving Russia’s shadow fleet tankers had occurred near the coasts of Malta, Greece, Spain (Gibraltar), the Netherlands, and other European countries.

Doctors step up after US health department suspended its flu vaccine campaign following Trump’s election

As flu season begins in the US, following the deadliest flu outbreak in children outside of a pandemic since record-keeping began in 2004, pediatricians are taking the lead on vaccine messaging.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not plan to resume its “wild to mild” flu vaccination campaign, which was halted in the midst of the record-breaking flu season.

Even as places such as Australia and Japan report severe flu seasons, there has also been a drop in global virus samples shared with the US, which help scientists understand which viruses and variants are circulating and how they are mutating.

Hello everyone!

TL;DR:
Journiv is a a beautiful, self-hosted, privacy-first journaling app with mood tracking, daily prompts, and meaningful insights. The mission is simple: your memories should always stay yours. Own them, don’t rent them.

Journiv 0.1.0-beta.4 is now live on GitHub and fully Docker-hostable.
Start owning your thoughts and memories forever and keep them completely private.

The Story Behind Journiv

I got into self-hosting last year and while exploring options journaling solution, I realized there wasn’t a truly modern, self-hosted equivalent to Day One or Apple Journal. Most alternatives were either general note apps or old abandoned projects.

I wanted something focused on journaling with:

  • “On This Day” memories
  • Prompt-based journaling
  • A clean, minimal, distraction-free writing experience

So… I built my own: Journiv, a beautiful (at least I am trying to make it so), self-hosted, privacy-first journaling app with mood tracking, daily prompts, and meaningful insights.

Get Involved

Give Journiv a try, share your feedback and report issues. It means a lot at this stage.

Prosecutors in Milan have opened an investigation into Italians who allegedly paid members of the Bosnian Serb army for trips to Sarajevo so that they could kill citizens during the four-year siege of the city in the 1990s.

The snipers were perhaps the most feared element of life under siege in Sarajevo because they would pick off people on the streets, including children, at random, as if it was a video game or a safari.

Groups of Italians and other nationalities, so-called “sniper tourists”, are alleged to have participated in the massacre after paying large sums of money to soldiers belonging to the army of Radovan Karadžić, the former Bosnian Serb leader who in 2016 was found guilty of genocide and other crimes against humanity, to be transported to the hills surrounding Sarajevo so that they could shoot at the population for pleasure

Welp, that's enough news for today!

I was wondering if anybody received any responses from the form on Fightchatcontrol.eu

I received one today (Ireland) even though I submitted months ago. It seems that the opposing countries are rising which is good, but Ireland are next in line for the EU presidency (I think taking over in January 2026) and the current minister for justice seems to be very much in favour of it.

Here is the reply I received today:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to thank you for your correspondence regarding the proposed Regulation laying down rules to prevent and combat child sexual abuse, for which the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, Jim O’Callaghan TD has responsibility.

As the prevalence of online child sexual exploitation and abuse continues to grow, the need for effective legislation and international co-operation becomes all the more important. Online service providers must be empowered and, where necessary, compelled to detect, remove and report such abuse on their platforms.

Ireland supports the draft Regulation’s intention to place a mandatory obligation on all service providers, rather than leave any ambiguity about the responsibilities service providers have, to address child sexual abuse and exploitation on their services.

The proposed Regulation seeks to establish a harmonised legal framework, which will set out the responsibilities for providers to assess and mitigate risks and, where necessary, to detect, report and remove such abuse on their services. The proposal builds on the Digital Services Act, which lays down horizontal rules in relation to illegal content and complements it with provisions to address the specific challenges posed by child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online.

Ireland supports the fundamental principles underlying the Commission proposal, i.e. that it should apply to all forms of online child sexual abuse, and that it should be technology-neutral, and applicable to all relevant services.

Ireland is satisfied with the safeguards contained in the proposal in respect of privacy and data protection, particularly the necessity that detection orders be issued by a court, having taken into account the fundamental rights of all parties. Detection orders are a measure of last resort, are time bound and targeted at a particular service, that has failed through other measures, to effectively prevent the dissemination of CSAM on their service.

Negotiations are on-going for this proposal, and the current text around detection orders and end-to-end-encrypted (E2EE) services specifies that in the instance where a detection order is issued to a provider who uses E2EE, the provider is required to detect the dissemination of CSAM prior to its transmission in the encrypted channel.

The privacy concerns associated with the proposal are recognised, and much of the negotiations have focused on ensuring that users’ rights to privacy are appropriately balanced with the protection of children and of child victims of abuse.

Ireland strongly supports the introduction of robust legislation at EU level to tackle online child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Yours sincerely,

Emma McHugh

Private Secretary to the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration

Tl-dr -I have nextcloud in a portainer on a pi4. -I can access nextcloud from my rig and laptop on local network. -cannot access nextcloud from iPhone or pixel phone on same local network.

If need be I can post pictures of where I’m stuck. I also tried the QR code of logging in on the phone but to no avail.
