badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

self explanatory, been feeling a bit bureaucratic lately, I have a very strong urge to be put in charge of large production operations and be able to crunch the numbers in a way that ensures ideal efficiency of production, I am unsure how to quench this...

Maybe try something like technical modded minecraft or factorio

no you see I've tried but being in charge of actual human labor and materials is the only way i can be satisfied, the digital illusions don't work on me

Oh, that's easy then. Just be born rich and inherit or buy a company. It might sound difficult to pull off, but all the nepo babies I talked to said they were literal toddlers back when they managed to get born rich, so it can't be that bad. Let me know how it goes for you.

[–] Tophattem_dawg@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

you foolishly assume nepo babies actually do anything to manage their companies instead of sitting back and watching the wealth roll in, actually making sure things run is my job!!!

They could actually try and manage stuff, if they wanted. They don't, because they're a bunch of lazy, incompetent assholes. But they definitely could.

So I guess after the walk in the park that is being born rich, you'll have to then not become lazy or incompetent, which admittedly might be significantly more of a challenge. And I'm afraid I can't really help you with that one, my man.

well im already out of luck on the first one, let's hope i can become a high level production expert post revolution so i can live out my bureaucratic dreams

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

that's not what bureaucracy is (a nerve has been hit if anybody was wondering)

Play Factorio or Satisfactory

[–] Tophattem_dawg@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago

see I've tried and i didn't like it AT ALL, its really not the same as managing real people and real resources, the fact every individual worker i loom over has their own family and life outside of being a peon of production is really the only thing making me operate under any safety standards

Can you file away my dort for me?

[–] Tophattem_dawg@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

if you aren't producing atleast 10T of dorts per week then I'm not interested

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

sigh back to the dort mines for me
