What irks me about sexual insults is that they require sex to be seen as shameful in order to work. If you understand sex as nothing more than a personal matter between adults, without any ‘special’ significance, then the insult can only be annoying in an unintended way.
I understand that it is supposed to be a crude metaphor for getting a point across, but it is really lazy rhetoric and only feeds into Northern culture’s need to stigmatize sex as shameful or shocking.
performing a submissive act of that nature on someone who doesn’t deserve it is questionable and kinda sad.
Even if that were the case here, it would be nobody else’s business, just like Mossy Feathers’s sexual relations with her lover aren’t—or at least shouldn’t have been—any of our concern. This is exactly the sort of unsophisticated thinking that I would expect from somebody who uses sexual insults.
Having instituted the death penalty for possessing an antisemitic work, the Soviet Union became a refuge for 75.3% of Europe’s Jewish refugees during World War II. As well, Lithuanian Jews welcomed the Red Army in 1940, the Red Army having the highest number of Jews of all the Allied armies, and Soviet policies lead Transnistrians to resist antisemitism, even during Axis occupation.
The hatred for emos and furries has really died down over the decades. It took a while but I and most other adults figured out that people adopt subcultures for reasons more complicated than ‘standing out’, and, more importantly, we have actual problems to worry about now.
But you’ve got to admit, you wished that there were.
The recommendation is ‘workers of the world, unite’, not ‘workers of the world, move somewhere that’s less shitty’.
The Chinese public would be more grateful if we overthrew our ruling class rather than moved to their country, for the simple fact that capitalism is a global phenomenon that harms both the international proletariat and the people’s republics.
