“As I near 60 years old, the expiration date has come and gone on any of my youthful indiscretions,” Taylor told the Nashville Scene when asked about the unsolicited nudes allegation. “Whatever story you think you’ve got, my wife is well aware of, and we’ve worked through it a long time ago.”

“My God and my wife have forgiven me, and I would consider everyone else doing the same,” Taylor added.

"my god" ... hha ha ha ha hahahahhaa religious fucknuts and their delusions and narcissism never fail to amaze and amuse! Religious people should never have any position of power, and preferably no job beyond custodial work. You're unpredictable irrational trash.

Whatever, wear the fucking orange suit, you bastard.

The Phile-pile.

Back in the early days of WWW, there was a great site called File-pile. It ended up closing down because it was basically just a thousand assorted FTP's compiled together than the link rot was pretty bad towards the end.

Typical Government of Putin loser. Most of us would be shit canned if we did what the loser Taylor got away with. The Tennessee Oblast filled with shit voters that continue to support dumb, racist, and sick bastards. It's a shame the African-American college athletes, in Tennessee, take their athletic talent to a Blue-State and let the fucking Volunteers choke.

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 8 points 16 hours ago

Tennessee is such a bass ackward state. It's basically a bunch of old rich guys who have been privileged for so long that the thought of someone calling their bullshit is reprehensible.

This fuck is running in a fresh redistrict against an African American and will absolutely walk it in.

[–] insanemantis@lemmy.world 31 points 1 day ago (3 children)

53 is young for a republican. They're all fucking dinosaurs

[–] NovaVeles@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Age has nothing to do with it, they are cooked from the early years and then they age.

It used to be thought that age was a virtue. The Senate originates from the latin Senatus 'Assembly of the Senior'. This was because the elders were considered wise, not so sure about it nowadays.

That said, now is the time to become the elders you never had.

[–] insanemantis@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

I think that it's just kind of a mistake for elders to be our leaders, in general

The best fresh ideas come from the youth who are generally the first to understand what's going on. A little wisdom from elders that assist or advise them is how we might find balance

[–] NovaVeles@lemmy.world 2 points 51 minutes ago

Spot on! Youth should power and drive the future, the elders should avoid the pitfalls they made themselves.

[–] 13igtyme@startrek.website 2 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

That's young for any politician of any party.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 9 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

also conservatives are at least 20years older than thier true age, when they are 40, they look 60. its all the hate they let build up inside.

[–] NovaVeles@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

RFK appears to be holding in his entire family's rage. Might just explode while giving a talk one day.

[–] insanemantis@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

More and more, I see a resemblance to the Skeksis clinging desperately to riches by making themselves immortal with the shattered crystal of truth, while also making themselves look shriveled and ghastly in the process

[–] QueenHawlSera@piefed.social 32 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"My God and my wife have forgiven me, and I would consider everyone else doing the same."

sigh This is a problem with religion, once you're convinced God has forgiven you have something, you cease all guilt because it's "handled" in a cosmic sense

[–] Tja@programming.dev 15 points 18 hours ago (3 children)

Plus it's a freebie. How are you going to disprove it?

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 5 points 12 hours ago

I was speaking to the almighty and he thinks I've got good chances. He's pretty sure you're fucked, though.

[–] NonconfrontationaI@lemmy.ml 9 points 17 hours ago

God told me that guy is full of shit

[–] bampop@lemmy.world 7 points 16 hours ago

Jesus died for our sins. This guy's making sure he didn't die for nothing

[–] iuseasahibtw@ani.social 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Bro was a tender smol bean 56 year old. His prefrontal cortex was rotted from drugs and alcohol, can't blame him dude.

[–] Jako302@feddit.org 4 points 16 hours ago

This but kinda unironically. I'd wager that more than half of all republicans (and a good chunk of the democrats) don't have the mental capacity anymore to truly be held accountable for their actions. Be it due to self inflicted damage with drugs and alcohol, dementia or residual lead poisoning. It really doesn't matter.

That, however, also makes them ineligible for the positions they hold and they need to be removed posthaste.

Shout out to Justin Pearson, the guy this chode is running against.

Justin Pearson is one of the Tennessee Three, three Dem state representatives that got expelled from the exceptionally corrupt Tennessee state House of Representatives for supporting gun legislation the day after the Nashville school shooting, when the speaker refused to let ANYONE talk about the shooting or gun control. (Also note that two of the three expelled are black.)

They were only out for a few days before their communities fought a huge battle to reinstate them, but the Tennessee House would have rather deprived those communities of their lawful representation than hear about legislating gun control.

While this asshole has been sitting home confused about his age and sending women dick pics, Pearson has been visiting communities in his now incredibly gerrymandered new district, finding out what their needs are and making himself acquainted with the needs of the people, holding frequent town halls while the Republicans hide from their constituents.

Pearson is a guy who has already proven that he will stand up for what he believes in, even when the personal cost is high. If I were in TN-9, I would vote for Pearson in a heartbeat.

One individual who was provided anonymity told the Scene that they received unwelcome nudes from the congressman as recently as 2021—when Taylor was 53.

No apology to the person he sexually harassed, then? Everyone relevant has forgiven him?

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 61 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Ah.. To be naïve and young again to the tender age of 53.... Is he perchance a dwarf that lives up to 500?

[–] QueenHawlSera@piefed.social 8 points 1 day ago

So am I free to do crimes since I'm a young fresh-off-the-streets 35 year old?

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 4 points 22 hours ago

a vulcan or a klingon, 53 is young for them.

My God and my wife have forgiven me, and I would consider everyone else doing the same,

lol! That's just a fancy way of saying "I'm ok with what I did and I see nothing wrong"

[–] neukenindekeuken@sh.itjust.works 8 points 21 hours ago

It's the "Christian" forgiveness bullshit. They think that whatever they do to people doesn't matter, because they answer to a higher power. So of course, forgiveness is expected, because the "hard" part was "asking" for forgiveness.

It's all bullshit these narcissistic assholes in religion use to control people.

Listen everyone, he said God and his wife forgave him, so it's fine. That is, assuming he was sending unsolicited nudes to God and his wife...

Surely he wouldn't have sent them to other people...

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 22 points 1 day ago

I don't know why anyone does this, especially when you're a politician.

The dude isn't just a pervert. He's too fucking dumb to live.

Also, isn't this a literal crime?

[–] Chozo@fedia.io 35 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I find it concerning that he believes he's received messaging from God on this matter.

[–] EggInDisguise@lemmy.blahaj.zone 39 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I got in trouble at church once as a kid because I asked why the person on stage talking to God is okay and everyone around us is cheering it on, but that year I had seen several people involuntarily committed who also claimed to talk to God and why is everyone so sure one is talking to God and the others aren't.

Apparently they don't like questions.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 4 points 17 hours ago

They REALLY hate Critical Thinking Skills, which you just threw at them without warning. That's like a Crucifix to a Vampire.

Especially since he says that because God has forgiven him, everyone else should "consider doing the same", he believes an invisible intangible being no one has seen or heard from is the highest authority and everyone else needs to get with the program.....

It reminds me of abusive Christian men who over-police their wives and say "Oh my wife is subserviant to me, but I'm not in charge, after all, I'm held accountable by Jesus!"

When I, a 53 year old, say "growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional", this is absolutely NOT what I mean.

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Men.

Pro Tip.

NO WOMAN wants your dic pics. Not one.

[–] Krudler@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

SnarkoPolo.

Lots do. Many love them very much and it turns them on.

When they ask for them.

[–] redballooon@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

Careful. Behind the persona of the hot young woman likely hides a 53yo Republican.
