For example, I don't like Will Ferrell in his typical roles. Oh they just drive me batty.

But. I do love Stranger Than Fiction. It's such a cozy movie.

Jim Carrey, no exceptions. I fucking can't stand his face.

Will Ferrell with the exception of Anchorman. He plays the same man-child character in every movie, and he pretty well ruins the Barbie movie for me every fucking time. (Just kidding I love that movie but I really wish he wasn't in it)

James Spader. His voice makes my skin crawl. It's so smarmy and pseudo-intellectual. I have never seen him in anything that I didn't feel complete revulsion to.

He was born to play Robert California

But seriously, I love him in Boston Legal. He’s still smarmy but actually an intellectual, and he genuinely tries to do his best for people, countered to William Shatner classic “old school” republican(this was 2005) who mainly cared about guns and freedom.

milas kunis, scientologist, shilling for masterson and then fleeing to europe with her equally reprehensible husband.

Chris pratt, gary sinese, both are right wingers,

forGARY sinese why he was great in the movies he was in, hescurrent virtue signalling for the troops on REDDIT is very cringe, mostly because he started last year around the time when the eleciton/campaigns was in full run.(unlike jon stewart, you only came out recently as a rightie, to shore up the voter base for republicans that the gop would throw under the bus)/. he allegedly left acting because of his sons death, i call bs because he knows he was going to get flak for supporting the GOP/VETS and not denouncing the gop for slashing VA care/bills, and he would likely get washed out of Hollywood eventually. hes using nostalgia as a shield from criticism, and his wierd "larping" for vets.

chris pratt, himself being a right winger, and supporting is fundie church, and i dont find him too good of actor, such wooden acting and people are defending him somehow? he only has one inflection and expression throughout all the roles he has been in, his acting careers was pure nepotism.

Rob MAC(originally rob machellenny) og isaip episodes were great, but became extremely pretentious even changing your name, trying to stay in hollywood inner circles, by colluding with questionable people like reynolds, a football star, and also the amount of comestic procedures he has done to make him look 20year old alien.

Something about Jude Law sets me on edge. Like I'm chewing tinfoil or something. I don't really know why.

[–] ThunderComplex@lemmy.today 1 points 1 hour ago

Craig Robinson.

It’s not really his acting but more the roles he played that make me dislike him.

The worst role of his is the Pontiac Bandit. I despise that character. He shows up once every season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine just to make Jake look like an incompetent ass hat, when most of the time the show portrays Jake as very competent but aloof.
Though this is also the best acted role of his that I’ve seen.

Then there is Darryl from the Office. I don’t hate him as a character there, but I think he’s mostly just mediocre.

Don’t get me started on This Is The End though, yuck.

Woody Allen. Everything about the way he acts just makes my skin crawl.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 hour ago

did he voice the family guy episodes that he was in, he sounded creepy asf, of course him being on the RIGHT.

tried to gather sympathty because your house was near the malibu fires this year, boohoo.

Tom Cruise - but damn, his performance in Tropic Thunder is a masterclass.

The first time I saw the film, I didn't even recognize that he was in it.

[–] Bamboodpanda@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

I didn't like him either. For me, it's Oblivion. He's incredible in an incredibly original and beautiful film. That soundtrack though puts it through the roof.

[–] yonderbarn@lazysoci.al 6 points 3 hours ago

Mark Wahlberg. Racist meathead.

Exception: The Departed

[–] SereneSadie@lemmy.myserv.one 1 points 2 hours ago

Maya Randolph.

I found her so irritating to watch in The Good Place and The Lego Movie 2. It's stuck ever since.

[–] BarbecueCowboy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 4 hours ago

Seeing Matthew Broderick in anything still ruins the entire show for me after hearing about how he killed 2 women in Ireland and just got away with it.

[–] bunkyprewster@startrek.website 4 points 3 hours ago

Nicole Kidman, creepy

[–] HurlingDurling@lemmy.world 9 points 5 hours ago

Steven Segal

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 6 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Unpopular opinion but Harrison Ford is a terrible actor. He's literally just a guy that shows up on set and reads some lines. Zero range, zero character.

[–] Suck_on_my_Presence@lemmy.world 5 points 3 hours ago

Hmmm. Yeah. I would say most of his characters feel the same. But I love Indiana Jones

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 3 points 4 hours ago

Marky Mark, no exceptions.
