badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

Jokes on you, I've never been hip berdly-smug

Jokes aside, why does everyone hate this meme? It's so inoffensive lol I have seen so much worse. Like the AI brainrot stuff is so much worse.

67 is just a verbal shrug, I don't see what's so cringe about it

My personal yells-at-cloud with it is that it's basically a meta joke taking meaningless internet humour to its extreme, but also kinda gives off an "anti-intellectualism" vibe to me which I dislike. And yeah, 69 jokes were not that better despite referencing an actual thing instead of nothing at all, but I can't help but think "what are kids brains consuming nowadays" when I see them laughing with this

A more fitting example I thought of is one chimney meme that started once on Reddit that was essentially a running joke because of another meme predicting it some time ago, but the difference was that you would laugh at the context of the meta meme, not the chimney itself, while with kids today it really looks like they are laughing at 67 itself and not the meta part of it.

Nah that's valid, anti-intellectualism is a massive problem even with grown ass adults a lot of the time

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 8 points 5 hours ago

WAAAZAAAAAAAAH

[–] Oskolki@hexbear.net 5 points 5 hours ago

Have you heard of 300?

Has a nice rhyme with a tractorist

[–] GeckoChamber@hexbear.net 15 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

I don't think that many people actually hate 67, theatrically going agony is just how you are supposed to engage with it if you are not a child, it's part of the joke

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 13 points 8 hours ago

Oooooh that makes sense. Man I suck at understanding social song and dances sometimes lol

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 12 points 8 hours ago

Yeah, that's an unexplored component, it's like how you're meant to groan at a bad pun

[–] moss_icon@hexbear.net 6 points 7 hours ago

I had the strangest dream a few months ago that there was a massive riot in my city because people wanted the government to ban the 67 meme.

This country is so washed that I woke up thinking it had actually happened.

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 5 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

Fuck yea that's the good stuff

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 6 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

WAZZAAAAAAAP bird-screm-2

spoilerIm making a comparison between the 2000s 'wazaaap' meme and the 67 meme basically saying they're a funny thing to say that don't mean much beyond the communal in-joke

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 6 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (2 children)

I know I just realized that when I was a kid I hated that meme haha

Does that make me a hypocrite or am I just getting more tolerant as I get older?

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 7 points 7 hours ago

Um, I don't remember how I felt about it as a kid, but imagine in two decades time many kids will feel about 67 how I feel about wazaaaap now - largely mild indifference.

(Edit (fake edit because I added this before hitting reply): i can feel bad about the wazaaaap meme now because I looked it up and it was a Budweiser commerial)

Being angry requires too much effort, and as an old youre tired

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 5 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

I'm tired, boss yes-honey-left

But also angry. Just mostly at capitalism now.

[–] czarcasm@kbin.earth 10 points 9 hours ago

Not sure why people hate it. Maybe it's because 6 out of 7 people have lost their sense of humor.

[–] xijinpingist@hexbear.net 11 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

It's not bad, you're just OLD. You probably remember when a man could own a house, two cars, have three kids and a stay-at-home wife, all on a single working class salary.

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 5 points 7 hours ago

That's what I thought too but then I see zoomers hating in it the most and it confuses the heck out of me lol

67

What a dumb joke. It’s just two numbers

69

agony-mescaline LMAO SEX NUMBER

[–] kleeon@hexbear.net 15 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

I think all numbers are inherently funny

[–] MeetMeAtTheMovies@hexbear.net 3 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Graham’s number is inconceivably hilarious

[–] TheTaglineToldMeTo@hexbear.net 10 points 8 hours ago

And when two numbers are combined? oh boy, its a real knee slapper. 9/11 national-mourning-period

[–] xijinpingist@hexbear.net 7 points 9 hours ago

It's a pun on Korean.

You are only hip with The Youth if you refer to beatboxing as "bootsmogging and catsmaxxing"

[–] CrispyFern@hexbear.net 6 points 9 hours ago

Heard this from VSauce once, still cracks me up!

[–] microfiche@hexbear.net 9 points 10 hours ago

It's because boomers are picturing the stereotypical hyperactive kid flossing and yelling 'haha six seven' while doing fidget spinners.

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 8 points 10 hours ago

very fidget spin

[–] billgamesh@hexbear.net 7 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

That's how i felt too. Seems mostly harmless a lot of memes aren't. 67

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 9 points 10 hours ago

I think it might have something to do with that 67 kid that people made fun of? Man, cringe culture needs to die, imagine cringe-shaming an actual child
